Misato Rose Winter Radish
Misato Rose Winter Radish
Misato Rose is a beautiful winter storage vegetable. I did not know until a few years back that there were tasty crunchy radishes that would store in the cellar all winter and can be eaten raw or cooked. They are amazing to ferment as well. These should be planted around July 7-14. They will just go straight to seed if planted in the spring. We keep them under row cover their whole lives to keep out the flies that lay eggs for root maggots. They lose quality and storability with the root maggots. Harvest late fall and store all winter!
White/green skin with pink flesh. Also called Watermelon Radish
~150 seeds per packet

Why choose locally grown, regionally adapted seeds?
✿ Our seeds are intentionally bred to maximize resilience, be resistant to pests and diseases, produce vigorously, and taste delicious.
✿ That means our seeds come from plants grown right here and have started the process of acclimating to this region, which makes them easier to grow.
✿ We aim to work our land in a way that honors our human and more-than-human kin in the water, soil, and air.
