Candystick Dessert Delicata
Candystick Dessert Delicata
This delightful nugget grows on a vigorous vine producing abundant fruits. Bred by the venerable Carol Deppe, of Corvallis, OR, it was selected for sweetness and a smaller seed cavity, meaning more flesh per fruit. We enjoy eating this for dinner or dessert! Try pulling out the seeds, slicing it thinly into little half moons, lathering with olive oi,l salt, and spices, and then roasting for sweet delicious squash chips.
Cucurbita pepo
~20 seeds per packet

How To Grow
-
Why choose locally grown, regionally adapted seeds?
✿ Our seeds are intentionally bred to maximize resilience, be resistant to pests and diseases, produce vigorously, and taste delicious.
✿ That means our seeds come from plants grown right here and have started the process of acclimating to this region, which makes them easier to grow.
✿ We aim to work our land in a way that honors our human and more-than-human kin in the water, soil, and air.
